1. Free Consultation & Assessment

Your journey begins with a free consultation at our West Midlands clinic.
We’ll take the time to listen to your concerns, discuss your expectations and assess your current dentures or oral situation. We’ll explain the different denture options available and help you understand what is most suitable for you.
We’ll also discuss the advantages and limitations of dentures, so you have a clear understanding of what to expect before starting treatment.
If you have remaining natural teeth, you may need to visit your dentist for an oral health examination and denture prescription before we can proceed.

2. Personalised Treatment Plan

Once we understand your needs, we’ll create a bespoke treatment plan specifically for you.
This will include deciding on the most suitable type and design of denture, the materials to be used and any preparation that may be required before your dentures can be made.
We’ll consider factors such as your oral health, existing teeth, bite, jaw structure, lifestyle and the appearance you’re hoping to achieve.

3. Initial Impressions

We’ll take impressions of your upper and lower jaws using carefully selected impression trays.
These impressions allow us to create accurate models of your mouth, which are then used as the foundation for designing your bespoke dentures.

4. Bite Registration & Custom Impressions

Next, we’ll record your natural jaw position and determine the correct height and relationship between your upper and lower jaws.
We’ll also take more detailed impressions using custom-made impression trays, created specifically for the shape of your mouth.
This helps us achieve the best possible fit, comfort, stability and function from your new dentures.

5. Wax Try-In

Before your dentures are completed, you’ll have the opportunity to try them in wax.
This is an important part of the process, as it allows you to see how your new smile will look and check the position, shape and colour of the teeth before the dentures are finished.
At this stage, we encourage you to take your time and make sure you’re completely happy with the proposed appearance and bite.
Once you’re happy with the design, we’ll proceed with creating your final dentures.

6. Final Fitting

Your bespoke dentures are now ready to be fitted.
We’ll carefully check the fit, appearance and function and make any necessary adjustments to ensure they are as comfortable as possible.
Some minor adjustments may be required during this appointment, as dentures can feel slightly different once they have been processed into their final material.
Once everything is right, your dentures will be cleaned and polished, ready for you to take home.
We’ll also provide advice on how to wear, clean and care for your new dentures.

7. Follow-Up & Adjustments

Our service doesn’t end when you receive your new dentures.
A follow-up appointment gives us the opportunity to check how you are getting on and make any adjustments needed to improve comfort and fit.
We recommend wearing your dentures for at least three days before your follow-up appointment, even if they feel slightly uncomfortable. This helps us identify exactly where adjustments may be needed.
Your comfort is important to us, and we’re here to support you throughout your transition to your new dentures.

How Long Does the Process Take?

Every patient and every denture is different, so treatment times can vary depending on your individual requirements.
As a guide, the complete process usually takes around 4–6 weeks from your initial consultation to your final fitting.
